International Roofing Expo (IRE) 2027: Tips for Exhibitors and Attendees
Feb. 16-18, 2027, at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall.
The International Roofing Expo (IRE) 2027 runs Tuesday through Thursday, Feb. 16-18, 2027, in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. It's a trade-only show for roofing and exteriors professionals, run by Informa Markets with NRCA as official show sponsor. Exhibit hall hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. (until 3 p.m. Thursday).
IRE 2027 at a glance
IRE calls itself "the largest roofing and exteriors event in North America." If you went in January last year, don't show up in January again. Note the new February dates.
Who attends IRE (and who exhibits)
IRE pitches the show to four groups: roofing contractors, home improvement contractors, Hispanic contractors and distributors.
IRE's 2026 Post Show Report says last year's Las Vegas show drew:
- 15,000+ industry professionals
- 700 exhibiting companies
- 50 U.S. states and 56 countries
- 84% with buying influence
- 66% with 10+ years of experience
- 53% from companies with $5 million+ in annual sales
- 51% first-time attendees
IRE's exhibit page says 91% of exhibitors plan to return in 2027. Its floor plan page promises "over 225,000 square feet of exhibit space and 700+ brands."
The number I'd circle is 51%.
Michael's Tip
About half of last year's IRE crowd was there for the first time. So don't plan your booth conversations around people who already know your name. Have your staff start with a question about the visitor's work, then explain what you make and how it gets installed, in plain terms. Keep a short version of that intro ready, too. Your staff will give it many times a day, and you want it to sound as friendly on the last afternoon as it did on the first morning.
Exhibitor tips for IRE 2027
Booth space, rates and what's included
IRE's 2027 space rates, per square foot:
Those rate columns are labeled "After January 23, 2026." So confirm current pricing with IRE's sales team. The member rate requires NRCA membership in good standing when you submit your contract.
Floor space is only one line on the bill. Here's why trade shows are so expensive.
So what does the space get you? A booth typically includes an 8' black back drape, 3' black side dividers and one 7" x 44" ID sign. That's it. Carpet, furniture, electrical and lead retrieval are ordered from IRE's official vendors, and the ESM and Exhibitor Portal list them. Space is assigned through a Space Draw, in priority-point order.
IRE's specialty pavilions are Metal Marketplace, Business & Technology, Exteriors, and First Look for emerging brands. The First Look package is an 8' x 8' turnkey space for $3,725, plus a required $1,305 Media Exposure Package, with ten exhibitor badges.
Deadlines and the Exhibitor Service Manual
IRE says the Exhibitor Service Manual (ESM) is "available a few months before the show" in the Exhibitor Portal. That's where the deadlines live for service orders, shipping, booth regulations and the rest. IRE hasn't made the 2027 deadlines public yet, so I won't guess.
When the ESM opens, look for:
- The discount-price deadline for services
- The EAC (exhibitor-appointed contractor) notification form
- The advance warehouse receiving window
- Targeted move-in times
Booth staff register through the Exhibitor Portal. IRE says registration "opens in the fall."
Michael's Tip
What do you do the day the ESM opens? Start by putting every deadline on one calendar your whole team can see. Next, order electrical and your wired Cox Business internet before the discount deadline, because nobody enjoys paying more for the same outlet. Then send the EAC form to your exhibit house. They also need their LVCC permit, insurance certificates and Clark County business license in order.
Move-in, move-out and badges
Per IRE's exhibitor FAQ and Know Before You Go page:
Move-in: Sat., Feb. 13 through Mon., Feb. 15, 2027, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Move-out: Thu., Feb. 18, 3 to 10 p.m.; Fri., Feb. 19, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sat., Feb. 20, 8 a.m. to noon.
You can work late during move-in, but there are no in/out privileges after 8 p.m. Need extra hours? Use the Early Move-In / Late Stay Request Form in the Exhibitor Portal.
Exhibitor registration desk: Sun., Feb. 14, noon to 5 p.m.; Mon., Feb. 15, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tue., Feb. 16, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wed., Feb. 17, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Extra badges are $75 each. Welcome Party tickets are pre-calculated by booth size, but IRE says the allotment "does not guarantee your attendance" and that Welcome Party registration "sells out quickly."
Filling your booth before the show
IRE's free Customer Invites Program, run by VIP Guest Invites, sits in the Exhibitor Portal. You get email templates, social graphics, banners and a one-click invite, all with your logo, booth number and promo code. Did I mention it's free? More pre-show ideas are in trade show marketing.
Fill out your online directory listing too, with your logo, description, products, show specials and videos. It shows up on the IRE website and in the app.
Lead Insights is IRE's lead-management product. IRE says it combines booth scans, session attendance and online activity. Decide what you'll measure before the show (3 things to measure at trade shows), then plan your lead follow-up.
IRE and its official vendors do not sell attendee lists, per IRE's Exhibitor Center and Hotel & Travel pages. Anyone offering one is running a scam.
Michael's Tip
The show opens Feb. 16, so I'd get the first invite out in early January, while people are still deciding whether to go and which pass to buy. The second one goes out about a week before move-in starts on Feb. 13. Tell them your booth number and what you're showing, and give them an easy way to book a time. Use IRE's free Customer Invites Program for both. It already puts your logo, booth number and promo code on the templates, so why build your own?
Booth rules that catch people out
From IRE's show policies:
- Promotion, sampling and literature stay inside your contracted space. No roaming characters, no flyers in the aisles, no "suitcasing."
- No drones, hoverboards or wheeled transport devices anywhere in the building (mobility devices excepted).
- No wagons on the show floor. Bags and freight are subject to search.
Planning to film demos for social media? IRE's press page prohibits unauthorized filming, livestreaming and photography. Get Informa Markets' written approval first.
Michael's Tip
Put your demo where people in the aisle can see it without stepping into the booth, and keep tall displays and product stacks out of the sightline. Is it loud? Then keep it short, and check the ESM for any sound limits before you plan it. Schedule your demos around the building clinic times instead of against them. No sense competing with the clinics. Post your demo times in the booth and in your directory listing, too.
Booth tips for roofing and exteriors exhibitors
I've been helping companies exhibit since 2006, and here's what I'd keep in mind at a show where IRE calls its live building clinics "the heart and soul of the exhibit hall."
- Let them touch it. Put samples where people can pick them up.
- Plan around the heavy stuff. Big or heavy materials drive the layout. See booth design & graphics.
- Staff for teaching. Send people who can explain an install, not someone who can only read a spec sheet. More on staffing.
- Think about Spanish. IRE runs a Latino track in Spanish and promotes free real-time translation. If Spanish-speaking crews buy from you, bilingual booth staff make sense.
Michael's Tip
The hall doesn't open until 11, and mornings are conference time, so put those mornings to work. Hold a short team huddle first thing to go over goals and shifts, and book customer breakfasts while your buyers are already near the hall. Get everyone in the booth before 11 so you're ready when the morning sessions let out. Oh, and Thursday closes at 3. Plan your last push with that in mind.

Attendee tips for IRE 2027
Which pass to buy
Per IRE's registration and Super Pass pages:
- Expo Pass: expo hall, building clinics and show-floor education.
- Super Pass: all that, plus the three-day conference program (nine tracks) and a Welcome Party ticket.
- Day Pass: one conference day. The Tuesday Day Pass includes a Welcome Party ticket.
Expo Pass holders can buy Welcome Party tickets for $75 (NRCA member) or $85 (non-member). Show-floor education comes with every package at no extra cost, first come, first served.
NRCA members, have your membership ID handy for member pricing. IRE's attendee FAQ explains how to find it.
Education worth planning around
Super Pass tracks, per IRE: Workplace Safety, Money Matters, Legal/HR, Leadership, General Business, Sales/Service, Technical, Sustainable, and Latino (en Español).
IRE's own pages don't agree on the track list or the session count. Check the official IRE site for the final lineup.
The building clinics, included with the Expo Pass, are Exteriors, Mastering Roof Details, Metal Roofing and Commercial Roofing. There's also a new Workforce Development Hub on the floor.
The General Session is Tue., Feb. 16, 9:30 to 10:50 a.m., with Eric Boles on "Leading Legacy Teams: Attracting and Retaining Talent."
Events and networking
Mon., Feb. 15: 18th Annual Community Service Day, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The $35 volunteer fee covers transportation, breakfast and lunch. Sign up when you register.
Tue., Feb. 16: First Timer's Reception, 4:30 to 5 p.m. Then the Welcome Party, 5 to 7 p.m., on the West Hall terrace, upstairs from the expo floor.
Wed., Feb. 17: Roofing Alliance Construction Management Student Competition, 8 to 11:30 a.m. (free). NRCA Industry Awards and Reception, 5 to 7 p.m.
Plan your days
Download the app (search "Roofing Expo"), then build each day around the schedule. Mornings are conference time, and the hall doesn't open until 11.
Attendee registration keeps the same hours as the exhibitor desk Sunday through Wednesday, plus Thu., Feb. 18, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Satellite registration at the Westgate hotel runs Mon., Feb. 15, noon to 5 p.m., and Tue., Feb. 16, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Michael's Tip
IRE promises over 225,000 square feet of exhibit space. You won't see all that by wandering, so map your priority booths before you arrive and set appointments with the ones that matter most. Once you're there, walk the edges of the hall first. And wear comfortable shoes you've already broken in, because a convention floor is no place to break in new ones. Layers and a water bottle help too, and all of that goes for exhibitors scouting the floor between shifts.
Travel, hotels and parking
Hotels
Book through onPeak, IRE's only official housing partner. IRE's Hotel & Travel page has separate attendee and exhibitor hotel links. For reservation help, email IRE@onpeaksupport.com.
IRE says onPeak rates "typically average 30% less than what you'll find on other travel sites." It also warns about fake companies posing as its hotel partner, so if an offer didn't come from onPeak, delete it.
Michael's Tip
Where should you stay? For a West Hall show, I'd pick an onPeak hotel near the Westgate, a Vegas Loop station or the Monorail, not one down on the south Strip. The Monorail stops at the Westgate and the convention center, and the Loop has stations right by the West Hall, so your trip to the hall each morning stays short. There's more in the hotel strategy section of our Las Vegas convention center guide.
Neighborhood details are in our Las Vegas convention center guide.
Getting there
IRE says Harry Reid International Airport is "under 15 minutes from the Las Vegas Convention Center."
- The Vegas Loop is free within the LVCC campus, per the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA).
- The LVCVA campus map shows West and Riviera Loop stations by the West Hall, with Westgate and Resorts World stations off campus.
- The Las Vegas Monorail stops at the convention center and at the Westgate, per the LVCVA.
More in our Las Vegas convention center guide.
Parking
IRE hasn't published 2027 parking details. The LVCVA campus map shows the Diamond Lot next to the West Hall. The LVCC sets parking fees, and paid-parking dates depend on what else is in the building, so I'm not listing a price. Check IRE's Know Before You Go page closer to the show.
LVCC labor rules and what you can do yourself
Nevada is a right-to-work state, but labor at the LVCC still follows the venue's rules and IRE's official contractor rules, so check the ESM before you plan to do any work yourself.
Your full-time employees can hand-carry with proof of employment, but only what one person can carry. That means no hand trucks, dollies or pallet jacks (lightweight luggage carts and rolling pop-up cases are OK), elevators only, and only personally owned pickups and passenger vans (no rentals) unloading from the lots, not the curb.
An EAC needs an annual LVCC EAC permit ($250), insurance certificates and a Clark County business license, and show management must submit its EAC list 30 days before the first move-in day, so check the ESM for IRE's exact EAC deadline. Cox Business is the exclusive internet provider, so order a wired connection for demos and lead scanners.
Details are in our Las Vegas convention center guide and our trade show logistics section.
Michael's Tip
The LVCC has its own rules on hand-carrying, EAC permits and internet, and the ESM is where IRE spells out how they apply to this show. So read it front to back, order forms and all. One missed rule can mean paying for labor or services you planned to handle yourself.
